Dec 31, 2024

This past year has been two objects blurring into one another. Just stumbling through trying to make sense of it all.

I’ve been asked a barrage of questions. I’ve elevated my opinions. I vocalized more than I ever have in my life. I was brutally honest & *raw* with people. I poured my heart out &... I don't know, observed from a new perspective.

I realized I don't know as much as I thought I did. The world is bigger than I can fathom, & as scary as that is, it somehow excites me.

That maybe we owe it to ourselves to explore new gradients, textures, & get lost in the noise, because those are life's most precious moments.

This chapter has been closing gradually, but I'm ready to take the leap forward. To reminisce about the past, but accept that it is indeed the past & I can move on.

I've been tidying things up & setting new habits & standards for myself. Realizing that I have to put in 110% because the change I want to see has to come from within myself.

It's time to brace for the most turbulent, creative & rewarding 12 months of my life!

—————————————

On the professional front, I finally incorporated my company, FTRBND. I helped out a friend quite a lot this year, with what’s shaping up to be their best year professionally yet.

Looking forward:

  • I’m going to get back into streaming & content creation, as I’ve missed it dearly.

  • I’ll be shipping the 2.0 update for the Shortcuts plugin for the StreamDeck.

  • I'm going to land a job somewhere at a dream company that has been on my mind forever. 👀

Beyond that:

  • Marker is finally hitting the App Store (iPhone, iPad, Mac).

  • Another tool I use all the time will enter TestFlight & perhaps an App Store release is in the cards! (Mac & iPad*).

I already have a jam-packed January lined up with business meetings, some contract stuff, with quite a few personal milestones I’ll be hitting, & lastly, I’m going to the ALGS Finals in Japan with my two best friends! I’m nervous & scared (first time truly away from my family), but I’m ecstatic to discover new pieces of myself in the process!

I hope you’ve had a productive year as well. Let’s knock it out of the park, because 2025 will be monumental!

Reach out to me across all socials, I *want* to connect & follow your journey throughout the year!

Wrapped '24:

Spotify:

While I didn’t spend all my time on Spotify this year, I still had some awesome stats!

Top 0.05% for Fred Again, with Porter Robinson coming in a close second (I’m going to my first concert & he’s my first)! 👀

Kasbo with my top song of the year!

GitHub:

I’ve enjoyed coding throughout the years, & this past one has been filled with my constantly pushing my knowledge. I’ve picked up quite a few neat tips & tricks, & shipped more updates this year alone, than I ever have!

2025 is going to be a banger one for sure!

Marker:

Still mocking up Marker's Wrapped, but man, I marked a lot of moments this year!!! 👀

(I had some data shifting, so this is only since like March, but yeah)!

Typefully:

Typefully’s an essential tool for me. I’ve leaned into the other three (Mastodon, Threads, and Bluesky), as Twitter/X continues to become an unrecognizable beast.

Typefully allows us to write once, post everywhere. It even supports Git-like branching for posts!

I’d like to see them support:

  • Alt text on all platforms

  • Better hashtag support on Threads (API limitation)

  • Not needing a Twitter/X account.

  • A proper mobile app that supports

Timery:

I attempted to track my time better this year with Timery. Needless to say, I play some games! 😂

Valorant:

This also marks my first year of PC gaming! My friends all got together last year, around Christmas, & bought me my first PC! This has impacted me more than they’ll ever know.

That being said, I’ve played a ton of Val, so of course we have the data to back up how hard M&K is! 😂

Raycast:

There’s that one app that I just can’t live without. Yeah, that’s Raycast. Here’s how that unfolded over the year!

Peak:

Some fitness stats from Peak.app!
